JP Illingworth

I work on healthcare technology products at HCA Healthcare in Nashville, and I am a graduate student in computer science at Vanderbilt University, where my coursework centers on artificial intelligence and machine learning. I also teach information systems at Middle Tennessee State University.

I grew up in Guayaquil, Ecuador, studied in Buenos Aires, and have lived in Tennessee since 2022. Most of my work has been about the space between the people who run an operation and the tools built for them: understanding what they actually need, and making sure what gets built is used.
